From climate-change deniers to the anti-vaxxers, the assault on science can be seen more than ever before, and it presents a clear and present danger to our existence. Science is not infallible, but it is evidence-based. It provides remedies to the ills that plague us and allows us to forecast potential outcomes so that we may adjust our behavior. Without challenging the misinformed population, and the corrupt politicians who seek to exploit them for political gain, the risk for all of us becomes an unnecessary roadblock to evolution itself.
